Rainy Days, Lazy Days

I love spending afternoons doing absolutely nothing. Yesterday I got to cozy up on the couch in my over-sized, obnoxiously yellow hoodie and waste the day away. Call me lazy (and I know I am..), but nothing made me happier then being able to listen to the rain, smell dinner cooking, and watch countless hours of YouTube videos. Afternoon well spent my friends. Afternoon well spent.

p.s. I couldn't find a bunch of comfy, cozy pictures for you guys as planned, so instead I will share with you the many YouTube videos I've been watching.

I love listening to her on rainy days.

Still the greatest wedding entrance ever.

Pasty white girls represent.

Inspired by yesterday's post... put a bird on it.
(thanks Jess! we do love it!)

Yesterday's theme song. Love it.

I'm blessed to have been able to sit on my couch without any worries. Be sure to keep those affected by the tornadoes in your thoughts and prayers.

If You're a Bird, I'm a Bird

awe
chirpity chirp
We've held on to some words of wisdom from our art teacher, who said that there are two things that are never cliché in art... fish and birds -we like to think the same goes for birdcages-. Fish are great, but right now we have an infatuation with birds and birdcages. I have always said that if I was an animal, I'd be a bird.

Birdcage on a chain. Cute.
Absolutely love this homemade birdcage light.
A picnic, a birdcage. A perfect afternoon.
So many colorful birds!
So many different cages!
If you're a bird I'm a bird.

Easy Come Easy Go

To embrace the warm weather the past few days, I've been visiting my collection of sundresses that have been patiently waiting for me. It's been so nice to spend minimal time trying to put together some sort of suitable outfit. I love that you can just slip one on, pair it with your favorite sandals, and you're out the door. So simple, comfortable, and cute.

C'est la vie

Ants don't scare me -- let's go out for a picnic. We can take chocolate bunnies and lemonade and whatever you're favorite food is. The bunny gave me jelly beans, my NEW favorite food.
Honestly, this has been a great weekend. Thanks to everyone who has left a comment for us during this long weekend, y'all are beautiful. Thanks to the weather for staying beautiful. Thanks to my family and friends for always being beautiful. To everyone who celebrates Easter, happy belated Easter! To those who don't, hope you recieved candy this weekend!

P.S. I'll post about the jelly beans later this week. :)

♥ the little things

The smell of fresh roses and one of my favorite candles. (These roses appear frequently due to the outrageous blooming in my mom's rose garden)

As you know, the little things are what keep us going all week. This four-day weekend has got us ready to relax and enjoy the outdoors. A mixture of working (bleah), reading, sun-bathing, golfing, and some live music is the perfect concoction to a nauseatingly fast week. Bonne fin de semaine!

Frozen yogurt after a long day.
Long roads and sun showers.
Something about gold bolts on green plastic really caught my attention during an attempt to assemble a John Deere cart.
Reading while laying in freshly cut grass. 3 hours of the day were overcast... I managed to use those 3 hours.
A huge turn-out at the "Gary and the Lt. Dan Band." The music was awesome, and most of Savannah was there since "Forrest Gump" was largely shot here in Savannah.
The night ended for us with a tribute to Journey. New motto of the week:
Don't stop believing.

Add Some Pizzazz

Although they are great as separates, I am loving the combination of turquoise and coral. My obsession started with these little accessories and has continued on. They're beautiful, bold colors that can add some much needed pizazz to any boring outfit or rainy day.

A Tisket A Tasket

I absolutely love Easter Egg Hunts even though I was always the last to find any :b
I guess it must be my need for a thrill that attracts me to a good ole' hunt.
Easter is a time for pastels, candy-filled eggs, and rabbits. (Why does it have such dainty, unrelated symbols? Anyone?) I am not entirely sure as to why this combination of colors and textures seems to really give me spring fever. I love walking up and down store aisles, seeing the cutely colored palette drape the shelves. Even though easter is a few days away, I am looking forward to the long weekend and a Sunday morning Easter sensation!

Adorable! These little Bunny Sachets are so sweet.

Peachy Perfection

Be comfortable and cute in these pretty peach wedges.

My love for peach has grown slowly over the past few months, but with spring now in full charge, I can't get seem to get enough of it. You just can't go wrong having this color hanging in your closet. It's complementary on most any skin color, so it's perfect for these weeks when legs are still ghostly white from the chillier months. Here are just a few of our favorite peachy pieces for spring.

The perfect blush for us Georgia girls.

This feather is so simple and girly-- a definite must have for spring.

A nearly nude dress that is absolute perfection.
Born Jewel Wedges $140 from Zappos
Benefit Cosmetics "Georgia" $28 from Ulta
Spirit Feathers Necklace $5.80 from Forever21
Nude Beaded Ruched Dress $160 from Tophshop

C'est La vie

Life would be perfect... but i'm pretty happy with where it's at now. I could complain about a million things (and believe me it's hard not to), but that won't do anyone any good. Let's start this week out on a good note and get through it a day at a time.

Happy Monday everyone.

♥ the little things

5 minutes to collect dozens of roses from my garden.
This week was one of the most exhausting weeks ever (which is why this post is arriving so late)Time seems to be moving in strange and unpredicted ways. Friday night seemed like saturday night; tuesday felt like friday; saturday didn't feel like a day at all. Nevertheless, we managed to keep our sanity (barely) with the help of a few little moments, a few little blurbs where time didn't seem to matter. The week ended with an extra 3 hours of sleeping in that was well deserved.

An hour and a half of pure glamification.

10 minutes of cold chocolaty heaven (more than once this week)

Nonstop hydration in the warm sun.

It's All About Perspective

Ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or maybe the right place at the right time? Some of these pictures can go either way, but they're hilarious and entertaining regardless. I can never tell if these pictures are planned (although some are quite obvious), but I like the fact that some are taken spur of the moment, completely on accident.

Happy Friday! Hope you got a little smile out of this.

Stairs

Tell me you don't want to slide down these railings.
It's been a long week. You realize it's only Wednesday. You're dragging your feet. You're tripping a lot. What do you do? You jog it out of course! Sometimes a spontaneous fumble is better than nothing at all. Who knows what ideas might emerge from a small bit of energy. We have made it to the top of the stairs... let's slide down the banister.
