We can now officially say that summer is here! Today is the start of sunny days at the beach, frozen yogurt downtown, and afternoon naps in the cool AC. I honestly love the look of feather extensions, but I'm not sure if I could really pull them off. I usually wear my hair up anyway, so they may not be put to such good use in my hair. But what do you guys think? Are feather extensions a no or a go?

Comfy Chic

There is nothing I love more than finding an outfit that is as adorable as it is comfortable, and for me that's hard to come by. Lately, my idea of a comfortable outfit has been a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, but these outfits above have me inspired. I'm determined to find pieces that look cute and comfy, and not like I just rolled out of bed.

Monday...

{sigh}

When I got home yesterday and began walking down the hallway, I smelled a smell. Upon entering my room the smell had evolved from a bad smell to an unbearable smell. My eyes were watering and I was on the verge of running out of my house. On the floor of my room, I noticed quite a large present had been left by one of our lovely pups. {sigh}

My sister's old English sheep dog, Pippa, had had bowel movements all over the house :( and had there not been a nice cool breeze to blow the horrible stench away, I may have died of asphyxiation.

Pippa knew that she had made an oopsie and felt horrible (as was obvious when she watched from behind the corner). 

Of course I forgave the pretty girl. 

We all have bad days... you know... Mondays.

After 3 candles and some air freshener everything is smelling as good as new. In fact, they smell as good as these tulips.

C'est la vie

No.

Are we going to freak out?

No... well, probably.

Hey y'all, this week we are extraordinarily busy but will try to keep the posts as exciting and frequent as possible. However, it is really important that we keep our priorities straight, after that, we are free to do whatever we want. Honestly, it would make everything easier if y'all would comment or follow (via bloglovin', OR friend connect, OR pinterest) or anything just to let us know how were doing.

♥ the little things

Good ol' pen and paper. Technology has been a pain in the butt the past few days.

There's only about a week left until summer vacation, and we simply cannot wait. This week has sort of been 'the calm before the storm', and we've been able to take a breather from heavy work loads and mountains of stress. However, next week is going to be so hectic. When we are anticipating a crazy week, it's important to appreciate the little things that keep us going from day to day.

So cute. I see a collection of adorable tea cups in the near future. 

Ohh brownies. One of the many reasons for intense summer workout plans.

Loving snapdragons. I need to get some and put them in a cute little jar!

We love pastries

We love pastries. End of story. We do not discriminate against color be it chocolate, chocolate and cherry, red velvet, purple velvet, or any other color velvet. Maybe one day we will get around to making some of these decadent delights.

There's wolves in my house

Every night I can't wait to escape into my dreams where the wild things are. Sometimes my dogs join me on my journey to the forest of dreams as they howl at the moon (that they cannot see). As if that is not cute enough, the youngest pup (who is 4 years old), can not find the wolf within himself and incessantly barks/yelps. His sad little attempt to howl makes me smile as I fall into dreams. Owwwww Owww Owwwwwww

 Today's the start of a new week. The start of new challenges. The start of more endless days until summer vacation. Through all the stress the next couple weeks is bound to bring, we've got to remind ourselves to keep smiling no matter what. Life really is a beautiful thing, and a few stressful weeks isn't going to change that.

We are so happy this week is over for several reasons. First, some very important things have been finished; the outcome is iffy, but nonetheless they are completed. Second, there are only a few short weeks between us and summer vacation. Third, we can focus more on the blog now that some things have settled (meaning: sorry for the lackluster posts). And Finally, Mother's day is here which means that we get to celebrate our mothers and how awesome they are! Sometimes, we forget how super they are and would like to say thank you for all that you do. We guess the appropriate title for this post should be LOVE THE BIG THINGS, because moms, you give us the biggest hugs, smiles, and love! This one is for you, moms!
