Mondays, Mondays, Mondays...

guy-sports.com
Here's a little comic relief for a dreary Monday. Today was rainy, boring, uneventful, and so very tiring. The best part is, the week can only get better from here. I'm putting all my cards on Tuesday; hopefully I can find time to catch up on work and more importantly, sleep. Happy Monday everyone.

Lookin' Lively

Both of us love Blake Lively's super trendy style. The way she can take a simple oxford and turn it fabulous with a little blazer or belt is cute no matter what. She isn't afraid to play things up with sequins or heels but also looks fabulous in flip-flops and a tank. Her natural glow will always be in style.

When she's dressing up, Blake takes risks and always knows how to make her mark.Whether she's wearing a simple black dress or a bold red dress Blake always looks trendy, put-together, and classy.

Blake began to make her mark as a fashion icon last year and will blossom even more in 2011. She wears everything with a smile and exudes confidence. No doubt, Blake is going to be the next "it" girl. At least for us she will be.

one for the books

The more tired I get, the more I struggle to keep my sanity. One thing can just push me over the edge, to laugh... on stage in front of everybody. Laughing at molly, then her mom, then my mom, then snort, then embarrassment, then everyone in the audience laughs. Great evening for a long day.

[I knew it. I knew she'd lose it eventually. -Molly]

Oh, why do I find this so funny?

This week has been endless, and I'm running on empty... so at this point anything slightly funny is making me crack up. I was disappointed this morning when I realized it was only Wednesday, not Thursday, and there were still two days between me and the weekend. Is there really anything worse than that? I don't know how Anna is surviving this week... she's been staying up way past her "bed time" every night and I'm a little surprised she hasn't gone insane yet. The only thing keeping me going is little things that make me laugh... like this chick's unfortunate situation.

It's raining. It's pouring. The old man is snoring...

There is no way to describe Savannah when it is raining. It has a captivating quality that takes over while you hear the rain pelt the soggy Savannah ground (adding to the intimidating yet exciting flash floods), and as you smell the combined fragrances of rain, marsh mud, old houses, and... believe it or not... oysters. This is just a little piece of Savannah that I relish and look forward to as "Big" John Wetherbee tells me my chances of rain.

Today started out chilly, so the rain itself was cold. The lack of snowfall in Savannah is a charming quality, but as we southerners enjoy basking in any and every part of our days, sitting at home by the fireplace was the perfect remedy for an indoor day.
Rainy days just aren't you're thing? No worries. Pour until it's full and you are good to go.
The perfect excuse to be lazy on a rainy day. Go back to bed, watch a movie or just enjoy the sound of raindrops on your rooftop. Trust me, you won't regret it.

But if you must go out into the rain, we recommend:

Been searching for another pair of Houndstooth rain boots... last pair got eaten by my dog who later redecorated the hand-woven Turkish kilim with it.
Molly waited for one of these for an incredibly long time. Time and money well spent. This umbrella keeps hair and makeup from getting wet while simultaneously allowing you to see where you are going.

Need a raincoat? Find a clear disposable poncho and I pinky promise it will match anything in your closet.
Now that you are outside...

Do it. I dare you.

Houndstooth rain boots: $15 Charlotte Russe
Clear Bubble Umbrella: $18 Urban Outfitters
Poncho: ~ $2.50 any hardware store

Maggie the Cat is alive! I'm alive!

  1. We've fallen head over heels for this 50's classic. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is an amazing read, and the movie is just as fabulous. Okay, so we're a little obsessed, but you will be too. The stunning clothes, the juicy drama, and those perfect baby blues... what's not to love? It's an oldie, but a goodie and we just can't get enough.

    New favorite book/play/movie.
  2. "Maggie the Cat" (a.k.a. Elizabeth Taylor) spends what seems like half the movie either in a white dress / slip. Its hard not to drool over Taylor's gorgeousness... we did. Her presence demands attention alongside her hubby "Brick."
  3. One word... GORGEOUS!
  4. Eyes as blue as the ocean and twice as deep. Love you Paul.
    xoxoxo
  5. Don't have Newman's eyes? Us either. But these vintagey shades will keep your eyes beautiful, too.
  6. Picking up "Big Daddy" in style.
1. Watch it.
2. True Confection Dress $73: modcloth.com
3&4. Love him.
5. 10-Day Shades $12: modcloth.com
6. Let's cruise.

The Beginning of a Journey

A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

This is ours.

Welcome to our blog! We want to share our likes with everyone. Clothes, movies, dreams, memories, and all the sweet things that life can give us. We don't judge you for reading blogs, so don't judge us for making one (tehe). We are just starting off and we have a lot to learn even if that means we do it the hard way. We make pinky promises often and now we are making one with you. We will keep blogging as long as you are reading and keep laughing as long as you are laughing too... we promise... pinky promise.
