Wedding Wardrobe Woes?

No worries. We've got you covered. When it comes to weddings, it's best to keep things fun and simple. I'm going to a wedding Saturday afternoon for one of my best friend's sister, and I've got nothing to wear! I'm going shopping today, but I'm thinking something similar to this outfit below is going to be perfect.

What? Coral and turquoise again (as seen here and here)? :)

Queen Elizabeth the First

Queen Elizabeth Tudor I by George Gower
Recently, I have had an incredible fetish for anything Elizabethan, big frills, intricate details, gold and pearls. It's not because her sheer strength and ferocity, but her ability to take control of a situation (or kingdom) and be a bad*ss about the whole thing. It could also be because of my love for The Tudors, an amazing show which turned me on to QEI in the first place.

Lustful. Historical. Tragic. Amazing.
The series sadly ended as King Henry VIII ran out of wives.
Modern QEI look by Gareth Pugh.
Intricate lace Valentino Shoes.

Love the Little Things.

Our week has been particularly boring, filled with rainy days and sleepless nights. weeklies like these when we find joy in the little things, even it's simply socks and lemonade. Sometimes that's all you really need.

Expanding sock collections thanks to Forever21's adorable selection.
A vintage bracelet from my grandmother.
Sleeping in and being late because it just feels good.
A lemonade stand hosted by children in an effort to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

Another Excuse to Shop

Most everything we got in a big ole pile.
The weather in Atlanta is incredibly bi-polar. One day hot, the next day chilly and wet. But we don't let a little rain ruin our spring break! Of course our first thought was -what better way to spend a cold, wet day than shopping-?! So we headed to one of the fabulous malls in the city and scavenged for pretty yet reasonably priced stuff with only a little success. After a late lunch we both felt a second wind and found some super adorable must-haves.

Love the glamourous buttons on this nautical cardigan.
Sparkly earrings that were surprisingly cheap.
Forever 21 had some great springy pieces, we just couldn't get enough.

Sweet Olive Blossom Candle from Anthropologie $16
Glass perfume bottle from Anthropologie $15
