Carrie in Paris

I've only seen the first two seasons of Sex and the City in their entirety. Now, I try to catch up by watching reruns on E! as often as I can. Last night's episodes were my favorite so far. I loved the fashion, the drama, and all the tear-jerking moments. After Carrie's whirlwind of an experience in Paris, she finally realized that New York was her home and that was where she was meant to be. In fact, all the girls found where they were meant to be.

Inspired

I think we're all in need of a little inspiration. This week is gonna be long and hectic, and I'm sure some of you guys are feeling the same way. I honestly can't wait for this week to end, because next week Anna and I are off for spring break! I can't wait to get away from everything and just relax. Pinterest is the perfect place to find daily doses of inspiration, and I want to share a few of my favorite finds with you guys.

Enjoy. And be sure to go explore for yourself.

Sleepy Mondays

This is me right now. I'm tired. I was going good until about 10 o'clock and then the sleepy wave hit me. So much for the 15+ extra hours of sleep this weekend. Happy Monday everyone.

Sleeping the Day Away

After a busy week with little sleep, I was more than grateful to have yesterday off. I slept over half the day away which I hate to do, but I really needed it. No one was around and I had nothing to do so I ended up staying at home and lounging around in my pajamas all day anyway. Even though I have a ton of work to get done this weekend, there's nothing like taking a day off to do absolutely nothing.

Have a lovely weekend.

Prehistoric eating

It's called the caveman diet because coming across a nice cheeseburger was few and far between. They lived on fruits, veggies, and nuts; and so shall I.

The past few days I have been a vegan, eating nothing besides fruit and vegetables, well mostly fruit. I find it difficult to eat vegetables without some sort of dip. Fruit on the other hand has been easy enough to pursue, actually... too easy. Without a serving of veggies in between my fruit breakfast, fruit lunch, and fruit dinner, I was becoming repulsed by the taste and smell of fruit. So I have ended my 3-day vegan diet and am moving on to vegetarianism. What I have learned? I need to eat more vegetables, and despite what I had previously thought, olives are indeed fruits.

I have always proudly loved broccoli in any form steamed, raw, casseroled. I love the feeling of being a Brachiosaurus dinosaur, eating the vegetation below me.
Even after 3 days I feel healthier. My skin is soft, I'm never hungry, and I feel leaner. It could all be in my mind, but I sure do like where my mind is at!

And the Oscar Goes To...

I loved everything Anne Hathaway wore... and boy did she wear a lot. Sorry Franco, but your pink dress was a bit too pageant queen for me.
Sadly, I was working Sunday night and didn't get to see all of the Oscars. I did see most of the second half and caught up on all the red carpet fashion after the show. I have to say that everyone looked fabulous, and after much deliberation, I've found my favorites.

Mila Kunis' lacy lavender look was one of Anna's favorites, and I definitely agree. She chose a dress that was revealing, yet classy. She wowed everyone.
This was just adorable, the perfect fit for Hailee Steinfeld's sweet and bubbly personality. I love that she keeps everything age appropriate and has fun with everything she wears.
I don't exactly know why, but this was probably my favorite look. I just love the black and white retro feel, played up with green accessories.
My favorite look from the men goes to Justin Timberlake [bonus points for bringing his mom]. I loved his classic bow tie look. He always manages to look dressed up and laid back at the same time.

Tom Hanks: The Ultimate Pageant Dad

Sunday night I was up late and Jimmy Kimmel came on. I'm usually more of a Jimmy Fallon fan, but I'm open to change. Anyway, Tom Hanks was the guest and as a special treat he shared a little clip of he and his daughter's experience on the ever popular show Toddlers & Tiaras. After talking with Anna and her sister about all of our favorite moments from the show [including hissy fits, crazy moms, and creepy makeovers], it was ironic and hilarious that I saw this the next day. I guess it was fate, but I shall say no more... ladies and gentleman, without further ado I give you Tom Hanks who, by unanimous voting, wins the crown title for "The Ultimate Pageant Dad" for the third year in a row!
